Hyper 212 Evo Installation for LGA 1151 Socket

The installation process of the Hyper 212 EVO is relatively straightforward, with some minor improvements over its predecessor. The heatsink comes with a pre-installed fan, which needs to be removed before installation.

Firstly, you need to pop off the fan from the heatsink by prying one edge free and it should come loose. The mounting mechanism has been revamped, making the installation process easier and more convenient.

The heatsink also supports an extra fan for a push/pull configuration, with additional clips included in the mounting hardware. As a disclaimer, we installed the 212 LED on a motherboard using the LGA 1150 socket.

To install the heatsink, you simply need to screw it to the base of the heatsink as pictured. If you are using an LGA 1151 socket like our test system, you will also need to use a backplate.

One notable change from the original Hyper 212 EVO is the replacement of the x-shaped mounting bracket with two separate mounting arms. This should make the installation process even easier and more accessible for users.
